until the 15th November, when, as it appears from the Gazette of the 19th November, his resignation of that office was accepted, and
his maintenance in and subsequent promotion to positions of important trust in the Colonial service are injurious to the interests of the Colony and call for serious consideration, I deem it to be my duty to take the earliest opportunity to exercise my undoubted right to bring the whole subject to the attention of the Legislative Council and to make such motion or motions relative thereto as may be advisable.
